2011 coming to a close
Reminder: Our last classes for 2011 will be on Dec.
21st. From Dec. 22nd through January 1st, we will take our annual vacation to spend time with family for the holidays. Take this time to rest and think about the year ahead. We have had a phenomenal 2011 with many amazing training opportunities. I want to thank you for all your hard work and dedication. I look forward to what 2012 will bring for us in the dojo.

Hanshi Visits Orrington Dojo
Students from Orrington and Orland dojos got the opportunity to work out with Hanshi John Shipes this weekend. Hanshi Shipes traveled from Texas to oversee student testing and teach tuite. Japanese Cultural Day
Thank you to the Brewer Library for inviting Maine Traditional Karate to teach a Japanese Cultural Day to the youth and parents in the community. Karateka from the dojo demonstrated kata and Sensei taught the proper use of Otemoto (chopsticks).

Maine Traditional Karate at Skate Against Drugs Event
Maine Traditional Karate will be attending the 2011 Skate Against Drugs event on May 7th at the Bangor Skate Park @ Bass Park. We are proud to be a part of this great event to help introduce young adults to alternatives to drugs such as the martial arts.
